FUN TREADMILL WORKOUT!!!

HELLO!

Today was Kenpo. I enjoyed it, but wasn't really challenged. I used my weighted turbo gloves, but I think since I've taught Turbokick for over 4 years, I've adapted to the kicks and punches, and they no longer challenge me too much. SOOOO, I threw in a good old fashioned treadmill workout this afternoon. Check it out:

Warm up- 5 mins. (stay at 1 or 2% incline for running & 3 or 4% incline for recovery)
RUN---6.0---2 mins.
walk--4.0---2 mins.
RUN---7.0---90 sec.
walk--3.5---90 sec.
RUN---8.0---1 min.
walk--3.0---1 min.

*REPEAT THE ABOVE SEQUENCE 5 times for a 45 min. cardio session (plus warm up/cool down)
Cool down & Stretch!

ENJOY!!!!!!
Have a wonderful Sunday. LOVE!!!

Microwave for about 20 seconds. Shred 2 cups romaine lettuce, mix in, nuke for another 5-10 sec. to heat. Bon-appetite!!!!!!

I gotta get to bed soon. I did back & legs at 5am this morn. Hly cow. Then trained three, and had 5 massages. Tomorrows' bootcamps start at 7am, 8am & 9am----then it's KENPO TIME!!!!!

90 days

Yep, I've succumb to the Fitness revolution that is P90X!
I bought it for my husbands' bday & didn't necessarily think I would do it with him. Well, I tried it (and heard rave reviews from my best friend Jill in KC) and I LOVE it. we officially started yesterday. It's the PERFECT countdown to the lake. Plus, my hubs and his buddy Foley are doing a challenge against each other. Does anyone want to challenge me?? :) Hey Matt, you need to start a P90 BLOG!
My newest goal is to be comfortable at the lake this summer. You know, be able to lay out and whatnot without feeling like I need a cover up! (besides a hat and some killer shades, of course!) AND, if by chance this prepares me for a september show, well, then so be it!!!!!!!!!!!!
P90X it is!!!!!!
I will keep you all posted!

Here are some more fun cruise pix. I'll keep posting pix this whole week so I don't overwhelm you at once! :)

SET SAIL!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this week has crept by ever soo slowly! I can't hardly WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I'm all prepared, almost done with packing.
so, this past sunday night I was on the website to checkin for the cruise, and you have to enter your document information (my passport #) and lo-&-behold, that was the ONLYYYYYYY document I hadn't changed my name on............So, I have my reservation in my married name & my passport in my maiden name. Uhhh-ohhh. Panic mode for a minute! I thought I was going to have to book it to the post office first thing Monday & expedite a corrected passport.
Now here's the funny thing: MY sister hasn't left the country since she got married, and HER passport is in our maiden name, as well. Ey, yi, yiiii!!!!!!!! :)
So, bless her heart, she called the cruise line and our travel agent to figure it all out. We're able to bring our marriage certificate (and birth cert. to be sure) and they'll let us on, no problemo.
The GREAT GREAT Thing about this is-had we NOT tried to check in online, well, my sister and I would have been vacationining in Fort. lauderdale for 7 days because we wouldn't have KNOWN to bring our marriage cert. Gosh, so hectic! :) :)
BUT ALAS, ALL IS WELL, AND I HAVE ONE MORE DAY OF WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 training & 5 massages-then spray tan! hey yo!!!!!!! :)
Tonight I had 12 people at my Bootcamp. Holy COW. we almost maxed out the place!
Also, we've just recently changed the name and we are now: STUDIO FIT! :)
I love love love the name change. It's fabulous. It's exactly what we are. We are a studio and we are ALL about fitness: Personal Training AND Bootcamps!

Okay, I'll be out of cyber world for about 10 days. I wish you all a very happy St. Paddy's Day and a GREAT week. Lots of loVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just spreading the good word:

In her mission to defatten America, PAULINE would like to see these changes
:
(And I couldn't agree more, so I had to post it!)

***Add tax to the grocery aisles containing chips, cookies, candy bars and ice cream. As soon as you walked into that artery clogging danger zone you know it would cost you about 50% extra. That tax money would go into reducing the cost on cabbage. And mustard.

***Add mandatory one hour lunch break for exercise for all stationary workers who sit on their ass all day in front of the computer. Put in some treadmills in the conference room and get walking.

***Tax reductions for those who keep blood pressure in normal range with prescribed exercise regimen.

***Adding back the old school stairs and make the elevator slow so stressed people walk instead of waiting.

***Build more human powered gym facilities. I read about one in Canada that has people generating electric power by biking indoors! Pay those bikers an hourly rate for sitting there pedaling for energy.

***Bonus money for workers who regularly work out.

***Better benefits from those who show very good blood work in terms of cholesterol, non obesity and normal blood pressure.

***Add warning labels on junk food snacks: “THIS MAKES YOU A FAT ASS, you still want it?” Would be a great addition to McDonald´s mmm I am loving it.

***Make time for employees to stay healthy by offering flexible work schedules without losing money. Money well spent because fit people are not calling in sick as much.

***Fast food chains should be OFF LIMIT for kids under 13 years old. YES I think it would be perfect.

**No fried food in school cafeteria (Edited: NO SODA EITHER!!!)

Can I get an AMEN!?!?!

love ya'll!!!
